In light of my last post, I did go home! I am so excited that my mosaics are now showing at the renowned Heritage Gallery as part of the Beverly Art Walk on Saturday, September 18th. While the walk takes place from noon to 5pm in 40 different businesses in the Beverly and Morgan Park neighborhoods of the South Side, my agent (my sister Mary) and I installed my artwork at the Gallery (located at 1907 W. 103rd St.) today, so you can come see it now!
For this show, I recreated two Frank Lloyd Wright houses, including a piece that depicts the Evans House found at 99th and Longwood. I’ve always been a huge FLW fan and had fun making this and a version of the Robie House in a 12”x12” size.
Hoping that Chicago friends and family (and any visitors to Chicago!) will get a chance to view these pieces in person over the next few weeks (they will probably stay up til October 7th, when Beverly has its next Ladies Night Out). Gallery hours are 1-6:30pm Tuesday-Friday and 1-4pm on Saturday.
